In honor of love, weR2 presents X, an edible miniature of REDDYMADE’s winning sculpture of the 2019 Times Square Valentine Heart Design Competition.

X evokes many expressions of interpersonal and civic love, including the written symbol for a kiss, a representation of intersecting forms, and the mark of a democratic vote. X was selected by the Times Square Alliance and the American Institute of Architects (AIA New York) for its compelling representation of how love within communities can manifest through connecting diversity and equality.

Much like the convergence of lines in an X, people from all backgrounds cross paths in Times Square, and REDDYMADE’s design offers a purposeful moment for further exchange and connection. An elliptical opening at the intersection of the arms of the X creates a heart shaped space at the center of the sculpture, revealing its message.

X will be on view in Times Square from February 1-28, offering people from all backgrounds who cross paths at Times Square a purposeful moment to explore its powerful design and meaning.

weR2 celebrates love by presenting this chocolate miniature made by joining the two enclosed individual bars to form the X. One bar is made from dark chocolate, the other in milk. Intended to be assembled and enjoyed. Assembly instructions included.

weR2 produces a range of products and accessories with contemporary artists, designers and institutions. A portion of the proceeds from weR2 projects is contributed to various causes weR2 and the artists we work with hold dear. weR2 wants to provide more exposure and funds to support causes that contribute to making our world a better place.
